Aqua21, together with marketing partner Kava Communications, is delighted to be supporting Arielle Roland who is running the London Marathon to raise money for a charity that works to provide clean water and sanitation in rural areas of Kenya.

Arielle, a student from Bath, needs to raise a minimum of £3,000 for her chosen charity Friends of Kipkelion, a UK based charity working in the Kipkelion region of Kenya, delivering water and sanitation projects.

There is less than a month until the London Marathon and so we are appealing for you to donate to Arielle’s marathon attempt to help her reach her goal.

Water is close to our hearts at Aqua21, not just in a business and technology sense, but because we truly believe that people everywhere should have access to clean, safe water as a basic necessity.

We know that access to water affects the life chances of girls and women in particular, because they are the ones who are sent out to walk miles to find clean water and carry it back every day. This means girls cannot go to school and without an education they have limited life prospects.

Kipkelion has a population of about 230,000, spread across 1000 square miles. Half the population is under 18, and few families have access to clean drinking water, electricity or medical facilities. Many children, especially girls, miss out on secondary school. Friends of Kipkelion supports water, sanitation and healthcare projects in the area.

Aqua21 will be working on healthcare and agricultural water cleansing projects in the Kipkelion area later this year in conjunction with Friends of Kipkelion’s charity partner in Ireland Brighter Communities Worldwide. Meanwhile Kava Communications, Aqua21’s marketing agency, has worked with Brighter Communities Worldwide for many years delivering their marketing and communications.

We would like to extend our great thanks to No 15 Great Pulteney, luxury hotel and spa in Bath, which has donated a prize of afternoon tea in their boutique townhouse hotel restaurant for four people.

The afternoon tea is a beautiful and delicate tower of delicious savoury and sweet treats to enjoy in this exclusive venue in the World Heritage City of Bath.

Everyone who donates to Arielle’s marathon fundraising will go into a prize draw to win this fabulous prize, so not only will your donation go to a great cause, you’ll also be in with a chance to win a prize.

The management of No 15 Great Pulteney, was keen to support a local student in the city of Bath in her marathon attempt and help her to gain attention for this fundraising.

To be entered into the prize draw, make a donation via her Virgin Giving page https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ArielleRolland
